ITC story of success started some thirty years ago from a wholesale shop located in a local market called (Islamabad Sabzi Mandi). The unity, honesty and continuous hard work of the founding members of the business made it possible. With the passage of time, the second generation came to the help of their elders. The young entrepreneurs were more enthusiastic and had a different view of the business world.

Being more educated and more skilled in the use of new technologies, they embarked upon introducing a number of changes. Before the entrance of the younger members, there was no formal organizational structure, and no formal chain of command. In consultation with the founding members, they charted out a formal organizational structure for the company. A CEO was selected over e team of directors, who commanded a team of managers working under them.

It was the turning point in the life of the company; the company entered into new areas and challenged the well established companies by offering high quality products at very competitive prices. Black Tea lovers highly appreciated the products of company and ITC’s customer base increased with enormous speed. This phenomenon of success, gave rise to a number of challenges. However, the ever vigilant management of the company overcomes this challenge amicably.

Another challenge that the company faced in wake of the expansion and increased customer base was maintenance of accurate, reliable and timely record. So far the company was maintaining all the records, manually, which was becoming cumbersome with every passing day. The management after prolong deliberation, switched towards using machines for maintaining and process financial and non-financial records and installed and ERP for this purpose. The company is now making full use of social media platform, Ecommerce site and electronic media for the promotion of its products. The company now has a well-established IT department, performing the task of connecting and coordinating all the departments of the company through a well-organized network.

The vision of the management is to launch more and more products ensuring high quality, health, and hygiene not only up to the expectations and requirements of the customers but also more than that.
